DESCRIPTION
The MBRW rod seal is a compact seal with an integrated anti-extrusion ring. A typical application of this seal profile is its use as a buffer seal in sealing systems often found on construction machinery cylinders.
These cylinders operate under extreme conditions where pressure spikes up to 14,500 PSI are not unusual. The MBRW rod buffer seal is used to isolate the main seal from these spikes. Due to its special form the seal is in a position to transfer pressure, which develops between the main and buffer seals, back into the system.
The MBRW is made of unusually high wear resistant polyurethane making it suited for the toughest of operating conditions.
