DESCRIPTION

The PB-F1 is a compact low-friction seal with the advantage of an external L-shaped anti-extrusion ring. A rubberized fabric base, which gives strength and durability, and a rubber header are molded together forming the seal. It is designed to have a controlled pre-load across the angled rubber lips to ensure a good seal at low pressure. 

The seal becomes more effective as the pressure increases and the rubberized fabric deforms to the housing to increase the seal contact area. The surface of the fabric has pockets which retain lubrication to reduce friction and wear. 

The PB-F1 has a reinforced L-shaped polyacetal anti-extrusion ring at the external heel of the seal to protect it against damage by extrusion and to allow a larger clearance between the piston and cylinder bore.
